The Sudbury based Purina factory are seeking an Assistant Manager to work within the Health and Safety team supporting the Health and Safety Manager with the day to day safety of the manufacturing site.
The Health and Safety Assistant Manager will be expected to provide advice, guidance and appropriate assistance to Managers at all levels on Health, Safety and Environmental matters. The Health and Safety Assistant Manager will champion safety related matters such as risk assessments, safe working procedures, work practices and safety aspects of modified plant.
Facilitating at site and departmental safety meetings, Health and Safety audits and working groups the successful candidate will feel confident presenting and communicating to all levels of employees and working to establish a SAFETY CULTURE within the Sudbury site.
The ideal Health & Safety candidate will have working experience of safety 18000 and will be NEBOSH Certified or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate health and safety influencing in previous positions. Candidates will ideally have manufacturing experience but this is not necessary.
This exciting Health & Safety opportunity will be best suited for applicants wishing to step into management and gain exposure to creation of health and safety plans, KPI setting and daily communication with senior leadership team.
