Our client is a leading world class manufacturer, with global sales in excess of €8billion and 35 manufacturing facilities across 15 countries.

Momentum has been assigned to identify a Global HSE Director, who will report into the Global VP of Operations and have responsibility for a team of 30.

As part of the executive management team you will drive the H&S strategy across a variety of business units, ensuring that the company achieves and exceeds both organisational and legislative standards. With full support this will be a fantastic opportunity to be part of a world class team.

Responsibilities:

• Providing support to the Executive Management Team in leading and promoting responsible attitudes towards health, safety and the environment across the business 

•Ensuring that the business strategy and requirements for HSE are understood, implemented, reviewed and improved

•Liaising with the Executive Management Team during management reviews to enforce global business is working in compliance with legal requirements

•Driving implementation of HSE changes in legislation across the business.

•Setting and providing guidance to the business management teams via the HSE functions in the organization

It is essential that all applicants applying for this role have a proven track record of working at director level within a major manufacturer.

Profile of candidate:

•Experience of industrial health, safety and environment management is essential.

•Experience in a senior management role - the candidate should be used to working closely with senior directors in the development and implementation of strategies for the area of EHS

•Detailed knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment legislation, processes and requirements

• Expertise with ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 

• Fluent in English. Another European language is advantageous

Due to the amount of travel which is required for this role, their is flexibility where the person is based in Europe, close to one of the manufacturing sites.
